Simple Present/ 1st Grade

Verbs in third person (he/she/it)

General rule: add - S

I work / he works

When it finishes with - ss/ sh/ ch/ x/ z/o : add - ES

You wash / she washes
I go / he goes

When if finishes with Y with a consonent before, change the Y for IES

We try/ it tries
They study/ she studies

DO/DOES

Affirmative: YOU WORK / HE WORKS
Interrogative: DO YOU WORK? / DOES HE WORK?
Negative: YOU DO NOT WORK / HE DOES NOT WORK

(abreviate form: don't / doesn't)
